    Hi,

I am having a problem playing audio files. They import into Avid Media Composer but I get no sound at all. I guess a setting is incorrect but I am confused because other audio on other projects were 100% but this particular audio (about 4 files) do not produce any sound whatsoever.

    Please help, thank you.

What’s the sample rate of the audio files, and what’s the sample rate of your project? If you go into your Audio settings you can change the sample rate, or set your system to convert sample rates on the fly. If you don’t have it set to convert sample rates on the fly and your sample rate of the audio doesn’t match your project you won’t hear anything.

    Michael.

    Hi Michael,
The sample rates have been set so that they convert on the fly but still no audio. This has really stumped me. Any ideas? I’ve reinstalled just the sound (which plays in the documents folder) but is silent once it is in Avid.

    Thanks,

    Bill
