I am new to Sony Vegas. Is it possible to cut some of the first few seconds of music that I don’t want to hear and begin at a point further along?

Method #1:
Put your cursor at the beginning of the music, drag it to the right until you get to the desired spot and continue editing.
Method #2:
Place your cursor at the desired new start point, press ‘s’ (split), delete the unwanted portion and continue editing. -
