Attn.: R.Hewitt: About the new Sony DSR-450WSL
Attn.: R.Hewitt: Over in the Sony DV forum you said:
[R Hewitt] “… the DSR-450 isn’t so nearly well built as the DSR-300/390 and 500/570 cameras. There is a lot of plastic in the body and quite a few of the standard camera features have been removed. …”
And I replied with the following. I’d appreciate hearing your (and others) comments!
Whoa, R.Hewitt, you’re gonna give me a heart attack! 😉
I just ordered a DSR-450WSL today, and I’d be very interested in hearing an expanded version of your thoughts on this cam!
For example, I know the DSR-450WSL doesn’t have a 26-pin connector (including the analog component video signal outputs which are carried within that, and the associated CCU control lines, etc.). However, I don’t have as much need for a 26-pin connector compared to SDI out, so I ordered my 450 with the optional SDI board installed.
What else is “missing”? Thanks in advance.
