    I was trying to motion track thought bubbles to people and found it exceedingly difficult with AE. I was wondering if when they have commercial shoots for this purpose, if they add tracking markers on them because it is hard to get something to track…

    Some things are better animated by hand. A thought bubble that exactly matched the movements of the owner’s head would look bizarre, as though it were attached by a stiff invisible rod.

    I’m sure there’s a tutorial by Andrew Kramer that shows how to do with with motion tracking. If it’s not here, it might be over on his videocopilot site but I’m certain that it exists.
