attaching multiple proxies issues

Sam Frazier, Jr.
December 5, 2022 at 3:52 amI have a project with around 11 cameras most of which are from different manufacturers (Sony, BlackMagic, etc) and thus use different codecs and some have different frame rates and resolutions. I made proxies for them all ME and am trying to connect them in PPro. When I select the clips and go to Attach Proxies, it opens a new window and says “Attach Proxies for these clips”, but if I select more than one of those clips it greys out the option to “Attach”. Thinking it would figure it out, I tried attaching that one clips and expected PPro to attach the others in the same folder. It doesn’t. Instead, it marks each clip as having a proxy attached, but it doesn’t actually attach one. It just uses the same original clip, as I can see in the project bin.
So, is there a quicker way to do this than one by one? And I’m not crazy about redoing the proxies in PPro rather than ME for a few reasons.
Thanks for any help!
