I have an animation wherein I am using a sweep nurb to create a 3D ribbon effect. The ribbon twists, turns, etc. I have it set to parallel movement.
I have used an attach to spline tag on the extruded logo, set the spline as the same one the spline in the sweep nurb, and then used a “set driver” and “set driven (absolute) to have the extruded logo follow the keyframes.
The movement looks great. Timing worked perfectly. However, what isn’t working is the relative angles based on the movement of the ribbon. It starts fine, but then as soon as it hits the first bend in the spline, it doesn’t adjust the angle the the sweep nurbs does.
How can I get this to happen? The effect I need is that the logo is just a short distance of the lead edge of the sweep nurb, and looks like it is attached to the “ribbon,” matching it’s movements exactly.
