    I have to graphic elements that move across the screen.
    I have animated one layer and wanted to attach the second layer
    so that they move together…

    Is there a way to do this without having to go through
    the motion tracker?

    How about Parenting? Take a look at Parenting in the Help menu and let us know if that solves your problem.
