Attached NAS not connecting on login.
I have a pair of new 12-core MacPros that are attached via ethernet (direct, no switch) to a 5-bay NAS array. Both are set to connect to the array on login (volume listed in Login Items and username/password stored in keychain).
Everything was fine until last week when one of the stations began receiving a “The server (IP address) you are attempting to connect to is either not available or doesn’t exist” message on start-up. The odd thing is if I then go into connect to server and select it manually, it shows up immediately. After this I am able to work without issue.
I have attempted to recreate the entry in Login Items, but it did not fix the issue. I have also restarted both the Mac and the array several times. The second station is connecting fine on login, so I don’t think the issue is with the array. No changes have been made to the Mac that I am aware of.
Any thoughts on what I should try next? Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks.
