I am trying to create the effect at 00:15 .. where the different icons come out and they are all connected with string like splines ..

I created the icons with cloner and applied a random effector for random position .. then i used a tracer to create splines attaching all objects from center .. i made the tracer editable and put a spline dynamics tag..

Now i need to figure out a way to connect different points on this spline to the clones …

Here’s my scene file so far ..

Also if anyone knows a better way to achieve this effect please let me know ..

Select all of the splines’ end points, then click the spline dynamics tag, go to the properties tab, and click the Set button next to the word “Fixed”.

I did that to the points in the center but outer points need to be attached to the clones so that the splines dynamically follow clones….

Ah, well, that’s going to be a bit of a chore. You’ll have to create a null for each clone and attach it to the clone via Xpresso. Then you’ll have to create a Hair>Constraint tag and constrain each end point to the appropriate null. Here’s a scene where I’ve done it for a couple spline segments: 6120_splinepointstoclonesamt.c4d.zip
