Ok, the footage is fine and it grades well – much better than my log and captured HDV stuff.

    However,

When I “get info” on a clip in Final Cut (pro7 – studio3) OR get info from the standalone .mov in the finder, the results say it is ProRes HQ 220mbit and color space 1-1-1. Was expecting 4.2.2

    Is there something i’m missing?

    Regards

Forget about that. Prores is 422.
BTW, 422 is not a color space, is a Chroma downsampling patter.
The color space is YUV or more properly: Y’Cb’Cr’.

YUV or Y’CbCr is not a color space – it is the chroma subsampling applied to video – a kind of encoding. It’s the same thing as 4:2:2.

The color space of HD video is popularly known as Rec. 709.
