This may have been covered before but I haven’t seen it. I just started using my new 8 core Intel Mac with ATI Radeon 1900 XT graphic card and AE 8 beta. Now AE 8 doesn’t seem to regognize the card. So I started looking for a driver for the ATI Radeon but on the site I only see a driver for the G5, not the Intel Mac. What am I missing; what do I misunderstand??

as a bto option from apple, it is inculded in the os. there is an osx update available (10.4.10), but i doubt that is the issue.

what is the problem you are seeing… i have the x1900 in a quad core macpro and haven’t seen any issues. this may be a setting in ae or just a bug in a beta application.

In AE 7 it works OK. It does see the card and uses it for Open GL. In AE 8 it doesn’t recognize it. I guess I’ll have to wait for AE 8 to be ready.

Open GL is disabled in the AE8 Preview. It’ll work in the final release.
