    Assistant Editor Salary

    Hello, I have 1.5 years of experience working as an Assistant Avid Editor in the New York City area. I am looking for a new full time staff position as an Assistant Editor. Does anyone know what the going rate is for an Avid Assistant in New York? I want to know if my salary was comparable with todays rates. Thanks

    Hi there:

    I don’t know about NYC, but I live in Canada and we would pay a really junior assistant $10/h, and a really high end assistant $20/h,so for you maybe $15/h?

    $15 – 20/hr. sounds about right. I’m not in NYC or LA but in Denver and that’s fair game for here anyway.
