  • Assistance Needed: Animating a fake 3D effect on a logo

Posted by Andrew Davies on January 27, 2020 at 7:58 pm

A client’s asked if I can animate this part of their logo so it looks like it’s a 3D shape spinning. So e.g. the blue and red swirls are 2 sides of the same 3D shape and they’re spinning around each other.

Any idea how to accomplish this in AE would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew, it’s very hard to visualize exactly what you/they mean. Are they two spheres (think using CC Sphere) or are they extruded? Do they spin around each other in a synchronized circular motion, or in opposite directions? I find it difficult to get my head around exactly what you see happening.

Yeah, lemme see if I can get some more clarity from them. Thanks for responding though.
