    Hey Guys,

I have recently come into a project requiring multi-channel playback from an mpeg2 playback unit. I will be incorporating both graphics and video into the fcp timeline. Since I will be dealing with 4 “channels” of video (each 720×480), my initial hope was to edit the tracks on top of one another, with a separate viewer assigned to each track. That way, when I start playback on the timeline, I can view all 4 channels (tracks) at once. Any ideas?

PS: The Mpeg2 playback unit is a separate standalone device…I am going to export each track and transfer them to the playback unit.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,
    Jeff

You would have to scale and position the four tracks so you can see them in one viewer or make multiclips of the four clips and watch them in multicam mode. You can’t have four different viewers that play at the same time, unfortunately.
