    Hi,

Is there a way in Avid to assign the proper timecode to a sound file if it only has the metadata marking the beginning TC? For example, I have a client that is trying to sync video and sound recorded with a 552 mixer that will stamp a single starting TC (no continuous) to the file. Can you change that timecode in the bin so it will sync up in the timeline?

The problem is Avid’s auto sync program is causing offset and drift if the sound file ran continuously one file and camera start/stopped constantly.

    Thanks!

I remember you could do this back in the day when ingesting analog video with no TC. You could assign a starting TC to the file so later on, you could export an EDL to be able to re-edit using that file.

Not fully understanding the context of your request, but if you are asking whether you can change timecode, yes. Highlight value in START and enter new value. Or you can add it to any one of the AuxTC columns and generate an EDL from there.
