Aspiring Videographer
Hello gentlemen:
I’m what I’d guess you would call an aspiring filmmaker. I’ve been working with digital video and visual storytelling in general for three years now. I’m preparing to attend film school in one year. In visual storytelling, I would say my strongest, and certainly favorite position is the videographer. One of my favorite series has been BBC’s Planet Earth. It’s absolutely stunning! I’ve relied on the COW for all three years since I first discovered DV, so this is the first place I thought I’d go. Does anyone know of any special interest groups or organizations of nature and wildlife videographers that I could get in contact with for the sake of getting to know the people I eventually want to work with?

The only way I can think of is networking through your film school and attending expo’s (such as the DV Expo) and film festivals in your area. That’s how i’m building my contact list. good luck.
