  aspect ration confusion.

  I have DVDXDV which rips dvds to QT 720×480 FCP NTSC. I work in AE 720×540 Square Pixels. When I drag the Ripped QT into the comp it looks smushed. This doesn’t seem to make sense to me, or am I going nuts. When its in a 720 x480 comp, it looks fine. But I thought its suppoesd to look stretched on a Computer Monitor. Even when I rerender the QT in a 720×480 D1/DV comp, I change the render queue settings to stretch it to 720×540 Square pixels, still looks squished. Maybe I’m just not putting two things together in my head. Anyone have any ideas? thanks
