I just started using the Adobe Premiere. Been using FCP but this came with the new (used) laptop
I bought and I heard Premiere is better..
The problem is that when I lay down footage to the timeline it displays in a different format on the Program monitor vs. the Source monitor (see Picture attached).

It also displays in this different format when I export the sequence. It’s like its Zoomed in, I tried changing the size options on bottom of the Program monitor as well as changing from the Full – 1/2 options on bottom right of Program monitor but it won’t change!

I have also tried making changes in Preferences without success… Please check out the picture and see if anyone can recognize what is wrong .?

    Thanks/ Bean

It seems to me that you created a sequence in the wrong format – different from the source.

Drag a clip to the “new” button, down in the Project Panel, and see if the resulting sequence is in the right format.
