  • Aspect Ratio Question…

    Hey guys,
You are always such a huge help, and I appreciate any and all advice you might be able to give me on this. Thanks in advance !

I want to author a DVD that is capable of having the aspect ratio recognized by a DVD player. In other words, I want the DVD player to automatically letterbox my 16:9 footage for a 4:3 television. Is it naive to think this is actually possible?

I’m using Vegas…rendering to a DVD widescreen template, then burning a 16:9 DVD in Architect Pro.

    Any Ideas?

    thanks again

    Brett

IF you choose the proper settings for 16:9 anamorphic during the encoding and authoring process this will happen automatically during playback.

Thanks for the quick response, So….do the proper settings require my making the DVD-A project 4:3 or 16:9?
