    Hi there,

    I’m editing a commercial which has been shot on a RED EPIC at 300 fps. The aspect ratio is 2048x 854. Do I need to transcode this ratio to 1920×1080? Is it even 16×9? The director said its not 16×9 and would like a 16×9 version.

    Maybe a silly question but I’ve never seen this ratio before.

    you have to do a letterbox format.
    So open up a 1080i or p timeline. Get your red epic slowmo into it. And voila!
    If you want it full screen 16:9 you have to adjust maually (enlargen).

    Do I just resize the frame to fit 1920x 1080 within the sequence? Or can I edit as is and then export the video at 1920×1080?

    Yes, just increase or decrease the scale.
