Hey there…been attempting to change the aspect ratio of a compound clip from 1920 x 1080 to 1080 x 1920 in order to create an Instagram ad.

Per a few Youtube videos explaining how…I click Modify in the upper right hand corner, choose Custom in the Video dropdown, put in 1080 x 1920 and hit OK annnnd….it stays the same.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Have you tried selecting clip(s) and copy > paste into the right aspect ratio Project?

When I want to setup a different aspect ratio, I find it’s best to start with a fresh project (CMD+N). I input the aspect I want (and resolution) and everything works as expected.

You may need to break apart the comp and make a new one if it’s already in use. When you change anything about a Compound Clip, that change occurs in every child instance.
