Have a couple of projects that for the sake of ease, I want to complete on M100 v 8.1.1.

I am struggling with 16×9 settings and how to export for DVD.

    – I digitized and edited as 16×9 720×486 as per the preset

    – edited on the 16:9 timeline with no problem

    – typically i export as the program as a self-contained movie

    – open the resulting file in QT Pro and export to MPEG-2

    – do the rest in DVD SP

When the MPEG-2 is brought into DVD SP, the resulting video on the simulator is always “squeezed”.

I am one of those right-brained people that has a high-creative drive but gets impatient at the technical. Can someone please talk me through the process of what i am or may be doing wrong?

    – should i export as a QT movie instead of self-contained movie, and if so, using what QT settings for size, etc?

help! sorry for the dum-dum questions.

Hey Jeff, when DVDSP is open and assets have been imported and placed on the timeline, click on the timeline to activate and then under the “general” tab that appears in the “track” window, select display mode, 16X9. Try the different settings till you’re happy with the look. To see all my open windows, I usually set up DVDSP in the advanced setting under “Windows” – “Configurations” – “Advanced”.
    Hope this helps!
    Kind regards,
    Chris K.
