Aspect Ratio and Rendering
I am still confused, even after reading all the posts regarding aspect ratio. I currently have Vegas 6.0 and am trying to decide to upgrade between Movie Studio or 8.0 and have the trail versions.
My question is how to render so my 16:9 video from my Sony HDR-FX1 rendered in Vegas, will fill up the screen on my 16:9 TV when I make a DVD from Vegas and Architect. I either end up with black borders with sound, or if I follow some of the forum suggestions, fill up the screen but then I have no sound.
I have a new Samsung 1080i TV, and I can use the stretch function on the TV to fill up the screen. However it seems to me that with the 16:9 function selected on the TV the DVD should fill up the screen. My DVD player is the Sony Playstation 3.
Isn’t there a simply solution to be able to end up with a DVD that will play on 16:9 TV’s (full screen) with no black borders? Can someone please help me with the settings to use to render in Vegas, and then the settings to use in Architect to make the DVD so it will play full screen, 16:9 ratio with sound?
