    Aspect ratio

    I just dropped an image that was taken on my digital camera on the VEGAS 6 timeline and found that when I preview it back, VEGAS automatically scaled it down to 720 x 576. Is there a way I can drop that on the timeline and keep its original pixel size eg: 3000×2000?

    What are you wanting to do this this photo? Will it be displayed on a TV as part of your video? If yes, then it MUST be changed to TV size. You can use Pan/Crop to zoom in and pan the video and it will use the full resolution of the photo. I would also do a “Match Output Aspect” on the photo(s).
