  Aspect ratio

  New to HDV & FCP so this is probably a pretty basic question, but I couldn’t find an answer in the archives. In the sequence settings (FCP 6) under frame size, you have the option of HD 1080i which is at 1440 x 1080, and HDTV which is 1920 x 1080. But in the aspect ratio there is just HD at 1440 x 1080. Can someone give me a brief explanation?
