    Hi,

2 things i need help on!]:

i have just finished editing a 15 minute hd short film, it’s 16×9 at the moment.
My director wants it to be in 2:35:1 – how do i go about doing this? can i lay a 2:35:1 matte that I have in photoshop over the footage in the timeline or is there a better way to do this?

also, I have exported it as it is in hd settings as a File>export to quicktime.
It play back in quicktime very jumpy on my macbook, is this becuase my macbook isn’t strong enough to play it, or am i doing something wrong here!?

thanks a lot, help much appreciated.

Adding a matte is the way you would do it. There is also one built into FCP also.

Depending on your codec the external drive is probably not fast enough to play it. If you encoded it to h.264 (still HD if you want) it should playback fine.
