    Hallo!

I have a lot of 8 mm film from the 50s to the 70s. To make digitals of them without paying a fortune for scanning, I shot the projected film with my EX1. I experimented with frame rates and found that the 18 fps film shot with 1080p50 and Quick Motion 26fps gave an almost non-flicking picture. In FCP I decrease the motion to give it almost natural speed.

Now to the aspect ratio. The video is 16:9 and the film is 4:3. Of course I can cut out the film picture but I also want to make the video itself in 4:3.

How can I do that? (FCP 6.0.6)

    TIA
