I burned a short doc to DVD and the titles and lower 3rds have blocky artifacts around them. The FCP timeline is “DV”. the Motion3 CG files were exported to the FCP timeline “lossless alpha”. the DVD compression was unaltered in DVD studio pro. Are there compression techniques that I can use to remove these artifacts? Any help is appreciated.

    Ian,

Can you provide details of the compression settings used in DVD studio Pro?

    Data rate?
    CBR or VBR?
    1 or 2-pass?
