Artifacts after exporting from FCP5 to MPeg2
I have tested several applications and all apple apps are having the same problem.
When I export any movie from FCP to MPeg2 I get a mess of artifacts. If I let DVDSP4 do the encoding in the background the problem is the same. If I use compressor,,, YES, the problem is still there. I have called apple and this is not covered under my FCPStudio 90 support. Not sure what to do.I am on a G5 Dual 2gig 10.3.9 and QT 7.01

Tim,
Your link to the still doesn’t work, and you have given no details about your encode settings, i.e. bitrate and whether you’ve encoded audio as AC3 etc. From the little info you have included I would surmize that you are making the same error with each of the encoders, most likely using a bitrate that is too high.
