artifacting during transitions
We have artifacts appearing during transitions, (not all transitions maybe 20% of them) only when played on television. DVDSP & apple DVD player play smoothly, which made us think it was a field dominance issue. We recompressed our film with compression markers at problem areas and changed field dominance from auto to lower first. Some of the artifacts were resolved, others remain, and new problem areas resulted. Do you have any ideas to help us work through this problem?

Hey, FY everybody’s I,
After several failed attempts, we bit the bullet, bought BitVice, set DVNC to 3, and the problem was solved almost immediately.
