  Artefact in push effect

  I’m trying to use a horizontal ‘push’ effect (like an old fashioned slide show) to introduce JPEGs into a DVCProHD1080i ‘offline’ sequence and find when I go through the effect frame by frame that the two images appear fractionally out of sync with each other – effectively giving a double image during the effect. This only happens when using still images – the transition is clean when using it between moving images. Is this just an interlacing issue that crops up while viewing on a Cinema display (through a BM Declink) or will I get the same problem when I autoconform the uncompressed HDCam sequence? Any help anyone? Thanks
