Hi guys, I live in Japan and wanting to buy an ARRI fresnel kit from the U.S
as the prices here are absurd. But my problem is that the voltage here is 100v. What would be my options?
    Thanks in advance!

    Fatbeat,

It really shouldn’t be a problem; if anything, the lamps will burn a little warm at the under voltage. Otherwise, if they manufacture photo grade globes in Japan rated at 100v. just buy the instruments as you plan from the US to save money and the globes locally.

Just got back from Tokyo. Used my 110v lights with no changes, except to use 2-fer ground lifts. All the plugs in Japan are 2 prong instead of 3 prong. Saw no real issues with using my fixtures on 100v.
