ARRI ALEXA Log C ProRes 4444 workflow for FCP
Hi Everyone,
I’ll be getting some ARRI ALEXA shot footage in the next couple days to chug into my final cut pro. These are coming to me as Log C ProRes 4444 files. I’m assuming I can just bring them into final cut and start editing.
Wondering if it requires some transcoding and whether or not there’s a program or plugin out there.
I have Nick Shaw’s plug in. Wondering if I need to buy software. Basically any kind of workflow suggestion will do. Clearly I’m a bit clueless with the ALEXA.

That’s the beauty. Import the files and start editing.
You might need a temp grade in the footage to make it look pleasing, or use a lut with your capture card, but you can edit @ prores4x4 in fcp.
Do you have an external monitor and capture card?
