  • Are you kidding me! PPro Frame export CS4!

Posted by Danny Winn on May 9, 2009 at 3:35 pm

So I just loaded PPro CS4 and I’m astounded at the hoops you have to go through just to export a frame from an HD video clip.

Is there an easier way to do this like on previous PP’s?

I’ve been using PP for at least 7 years and it was always so quick and easy to frame capture. Plus after exporting the frame it doesn’t seem to go right into my current PP project, you have to import it from the file location.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the deal now?

I’m also very PO’d that I can’t view my HD video while it’s being captured (only before you capture can you view HD video).

    Uggghhhh! Please assist.

There will be in the 4.1 update due out the end of May.

Man, Adobe really screwed this program up, didn’t they?

Big Yeap! Also I can’t get TV out of my video card, rename bins, apart of exporting a frame.
Good thing so far I have found is multi track selection to applied effects, etc.
Missing: a CG with multi effects applied to titling and not having to import titles from third party CG.

[Hector Melendez] “I can’t get TV out of my video card”

I can, so I know it’s possible. It depends greatly on the graphics card settings, which differ even between different models from the same manufacturer.

    [Hector Melendez] “rename bins”

Widen the name column and you will be able to rename successfully.

    Cheers

Set your monitor window to 100%, remove the safe area overlay, hit Print Screen and paste into Photoshop. Much faster workaround for me.

This was fixed in Pr 4.1.

Download latest updates for Premiere and Media Encoder from adobe.com.

Well, 4.2 is what I have. Still takes about half an hour to grab a frame. Per CS4 help there’s a lot shuckin an jivin…..sync lock here, target sequence there, in/out point in the monitor, not the sequence…jeeez! and it only worked once for me. But wait, CS5 is out!! Just make what ya got work right!! No more Premiere for me!!
