I’m a windows user and I had to uninstall Quicktime because Apple is refusing to support it etc etc. So I found these avid quicktime codecs and I was wondering if I can just download and use the codecs for exporting videos in Davinci Resolve 12 lite.
If anyone can let me know if it’s okay to download them, then that’ll be swell!

They are the same.

You can download them, but they won’t work unless you have Quicktime installed. They aren’t separate. Quicktime is a container, as well as an application. The codecs only work inside that container…and they will only work if you have QT installed.

Isn’t there like a work around to install QuickTime for just its codecs?
