  • Are there hot keys for normalize and channel?

I couldreally use some hot keys for normalizing and changing channels for audio. Is there a way to do this?

I often duplicate the audio track for the different show guests, put them on their own track change channels and normalize.
A quicker way would be cool

    normalise shortcut:

    OPTIONS /CUSTOMISE KEYBOARD / GLOBAL

find EDIT.EVENT.NORMALIZE & click on it

click in the shortcut key box, create a shortcut (eg CTRL SHIFT N or something) and click ADD

    done

    🙂

can’t find one for channels, though would be useful

Sony Vegas 9 does not have a keyboard short cut to do the equivalent of right click on an audio clip, select Properties, then Normalize, which makes a faint audio louder and audible. SV9 does not seem to have the ability to add keyboard shortcuts. So Aldo’s Macros comes to the rescue. It is a great tool from https://www.AldosTools.org/macro.html Records the keystrokes of Shift+F10 (shortcut menu), P (Properties), Alt+N (Normalize), Enter (close dialog). F12 is the default for the currently select Aldos Macro, plus you can define more. Then you can simply select the section in the audio track, then press F12.
