April 1, 2009 at 2:45 pmI would recommend getting some practice and a feel for C4D before the tutorial but you don’t have to be ILM material for sure 😉
The tut is about making a camera move through a car window and into an alley made with PSD layers projected on the walls and on some simple 3D details like a policetap, lamps and details one the buildings.

April 1, 2009 at 3:15 pmWell, excuse me if I’m being too fresh here and I don’t mean to be rude or to flame and I certainly appreciate all and any input, but I don’t like to blindly spend my hard earned money. The cmivfx site is very basic and gives very little info about the tutorial contents besides a title and a short description. Almost as if they are trying to hide something. All the other sites like Lynda and Gnomon workshop for example give a full list of chapters, duration of each DVd etc so you can have an idea of what you’re spending your money on and if the content is what you are looking for. Besides that, the fact cmivfx old DVDs don’t have a very good reputation with reviews mentioning rushed through tutorials, superficial content and foreign instructors with hard to understand accents don’t really inspire confidence to buy blindly.

That sounds very interesting. 🙂 I think I’m getting it.
All done only with the PSD layers (stills), no video footage involved? -

October 7, 2009 at 8:29 pmI found this one. Basic, but I hope it helps.
And it’s free.
