Why do the files show sfk after m2t?

I know sfk are the sound files and normally they are listed by themselves w simply the sfk ending.

I could be mistaken, but I don’t ever remember seeing the files listed as m2t.sfk.

I know m2t is the format of the video files.

I was having trouble w the software ms 13 freezing while editing so I was told to eliminate the sfk files off of the drive and I have been doing that (supposedly I had duplicate sfk files causing the crash).

Of course, the sfk files regenerate when ms 13 is reopened.

But I don’t recall ever seeing the files ending w m2t.sfk?

Maybe I am mistaken but are the files suppose to end m2t.sfk?

You will have both an .m2t and a .m2t.sfk. The “.sfk” file is a representation of the audio wave form that is used for display purposes on the Vegas timeline. You can delete any or all .sfk files and Vegas will simply recreate them as needed.

    I confused it. My bad!

The files w m2t.sfk ending were always there in the project.

Then you get a SEPARATE set of files w only the .sfk ending.
The .sfk are solely sound files.

I just mixed up and didn’t realize the m2t.sfk files had always been present.

Everytime ms 13 freezes I delete the files with JUST the sfk ending as dupe sfk files cause ms 13 to freeze.
