archiving media files
Is there a way to search all media files in a block that is associated with one Project(video, matte keys, audio..all files)
on my storage drive and then move them to removable mass storage.
The storage drive has one folder(omfi files) and everything is in
there in random order. The reveal file will only do one file at a
time. Are there any other options other than the transcode/consolidate. I just want to move the media off and then back in when needed without having to rebatch and relink everything.
Also, when you move media out of the storage drive and come back in
Express Studio it goes into scanning media mode looking for media misssing. So is there an order to moving media out then moving project files before launching Express. Thanks -

i use a program called mediamover. At your request it will move all the omf files of one project into a specific folder. It’s real handy.
