    Hello,

I’m planning on archiving some footage, but I would like to hear some suggestions from more experienced users before going in blindly.

I have two different formats that I work with,
other being YUV 4:4:4 .AVI and the other one is RGB .AVI . I’m having a problem with the YUV 4:4:4.

Now, my previous plan was that I would have used Sony Vegas with Lagarith to archive, but since, what I understand, Sony Vegas only renders in RGB? At least I can’t figure any possible way to make it render the YUV 4:4:4 back to look as colorful as the pure raw footage looks like. Unless I use the ‘Studio RGB to Computer RGB’ and render it after that. This however, gives the problem of little color bleeding. Is this normal, or is there some other way I am not aware of – maybe some other codec or program?

    Any tips are greatly appreciated!
