Does anyone know, is it possible to use Blue Ray discs as a backup medium? In other words is it possible to make data discs using Toast instead of video discs? Does this avoid all the licensing otherwise necessary for BR? Seems like this would be a good way to back up avhc projects.

It’s ok- not nearly as useful or reliable as a good LTO drive but a lot less expensive.
