Archive Options (Render Cache & Optimized Media)
Hello there,
While archiving my project in Resolve I now am given these two options in he form of check boxes before I start the archive process.
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on what the function of each option is, and if I should select both options when archiving. I would assume it is a case by case basis, however I’m not sure what is actually occurring when I select each option and whether or not I need them.

If the project is already done, I don’t see why you need Optimized Media or the Render Cache. You can always rebuild each of them later. If the Render Cache is small, I guess that wouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Ok awesome! That was what I was thinking but I wasn’t quite sure. I just wanted to double check that I wouldn’t be messing anything up by not selecting either option. Thank you very much for the info and reply Marc!
