    Hi everyone,

I’m trying to replicate an archival workflow that I’ve used in Avid for years now that I’m switching to Premiere for a project or two. Part of what I like to do in Avid is create an archival database with a bunch of custom column headers in the bin that track additional metadata not native to what Premiere offers (or Avid for that matter).

In Avid this is easy and I can even export the bin to a TAB or CSV file later on. In Premiere I have a few questions:

    1) Is it possible to create an excel database as CSV, then import that as a bin into Premiere (the way you would an ALE) then relink to all the master files, assuming file names are the same?

    2) Is it possible to EXPORT bin information from Premiere to a CSV?

    3) In Avid I do bin sifting as a way of filtering and sorting large bins of archival material. Can Premiere do this? Would I use a search bin to do it? I’m not sure of the difference between search bin and regular bin.

    Any advice is appreciated.
