Architect theme into sony vegas
Posted by Pat Bailey on November 9, 2009 at 3:13 pmWant to use a theme graphic (one of the wedding ones) from sony architect in sony vegas as my opening video so they match up. I have opened up the folder in sony architect, last folder is themes after that it is a THM file which opens in dvd architect 4.5 There is no way to “explore” it. so I need to know how to change this THM file so it will work in sony vegas.
Thank you

November 9, 2009 at 3:28 pmIf this is DVD Architect Pro you’re talking about, you may not be aware that it’s a free upgrade to DVDA Pro 5.0.
To answer your question, you need to browse to the folder where the themed images are kept and C:\Program Files\Sony\DVD Architect Pro 4.5\themes is not the place to be looking.
Instead, try C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Sony\DVD Architect Pro\5.0\Themes
Once inside this folder, open up the one you want, copy the desired image to your Vegas project folder and import it into your project. -

November 9, 2009 at 7:29 pmI just checked another computer with DVDA Pro 4.5 and, with the exception of the folder name change, the Theme folders are in the exact same location.
This is with XP Pro.
If you’re running Vista, I believe the locations are very different.Try doing a search of Drive C for a folder called Wedding1.thm and the image files should be in there.
It may be in more than one location so make sure you let it search the entire drive.

November 9, 2009 at 10:26 pmYou don’t/can’t open *.thm files.
What I’ve been trying to get you to do is to find the folder named wedding1.thm (or whatever it’s called) , open it and find the specific image you want. -

November 10, 2009 at 12:09 pmPat, the images inside of any Theme folder are in JPEG or PNG format ready to be dropped on a Vegas timeline.

November 10, 2009 at 3:26 pm1- Open DVD Architect and put your theme or background on screen.
2- preview DVD
3- choose “best-production quality” on viewer
4- click the copy to clippboard button (5th on the upper-right corner)
5- Open photoshop and File – New
6- paste…. done … you can export this image to any format (png, jpg, psd) for using on Vegas…
good luck

November 10, 2009 at 4:30 pmPat, If you’re a Vista user, see if this helps you to find the proper folder.
Make sure you unhide all folders.
Go to Control Panel/FolderOptions/Views> Select “show hidden folders and files” and then click OK.Next, go to C:\Users\Your Computer Name\AppData\Roaming\Sony\DVD Architect Pro\4.5\Themes
