Architect Studio sound problem
Posted by Alex Bennett on December 15, 2011 at 4:15 pmHi
I’ve just upgraded to Movie Studio version 11. When I transfer a rendered project to Architect Studio it does not accept the ac3 Sound track. It mentions a command problem or something. This problem didn’t happen with version 10. I doubly ensured that I rendered the sound with ac3 Dolby DVD so why won’t it pick up the sound track. None of my previous dar files created with version 10 now transfer their sound tracks either. Thanks

December 15, 2011 at 4:33 pmThe message I get in Architect studio is “File C:UsersAlex BennettAppDataLocalSonyVegas Movie Studio HD Platinum11.0new tester.ac3 does not have an appropriate stream to open.”
Hope that helps.

December 16, 2011 at 12:06 pmHi.
Did you double-check that you have rendered both (video and audio) files to the same folder with the same name. Also check Project properties (video and audio format) in DVDA Studio.
I use a folder like C:UsersxxxxDocumentsVegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 Projects and separately rendered video (DVD Architect video stream) and audio files like ProjectX.mpg and ProjectX.ac3. -

December 16, 2011 at 4:26 pmThanks, but I have done exactly what you suggested, which is the way I have always done it, but the audio stream still won’t go into Architect studio. Again I get the message:File C:UsersAlex BennettAppDataLocalSonyVegas Movie Studio HD Platinum11.0new tester.ac3 does not have an appropriate stream to open.
At some stage I think I saw that Architect Studio was set to receive ac3 files at 36000. I have rendered at 44000. Would this affect it. I can’t now find anyway of changing the Architect Studio settings. I think the problem must lie there as it won’t receive the audio stream from any of my previously rendered files.

December 16, 2011 at 6:09 pmSolved!!! I just updated Architect Studio to Build 156 and it worked. Goodness knows why build 150 had this problem. Anyway, thanks for your help.

December 16, 2011 at 6:50 pmGood!
Just noticed from b156 Release Notes:
2.0 What’s New
Notable changes in version 5.0 (Build 156)Fixed a bug that prevented DVD Architect Studio from opening AC-3 Studio files rendered by Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio software.
Hadn’t come across this bug in b128, which I have used.

December 16, 2011 at 8:38 pmWell Sony might have let me know! I loaded this from the DVD set which I bought from Amazon. It was cheaper than upgraded my version 10. The Vegas Movie Program advised me to upgrade that, which I did, but no such notice on the other program. When they reply, eventually, to my query I will give them my views on this. Cheers.
