    Hi All!

I work in the marketing office at a small university and have (maybe) gotten the OK to buy some new video lights. What we have now were purchased about 10 years ago (LED) so I’m pretty confident that anything we get will be an improvement.

I’ve been looking at Apurture, and am considering two 120Ds and one 300. Battery operation is a huge plus. They’ll mostly be used in location head/shoulders interviews.

Everything about them seems good, but I’m wondering if there are other products I should be looking at as well.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

If you don’t need rgb lighting, the dracast kala is a great bicolor or solid color dimmable light that is durable and inexpensive. Probably get a 3 light kit with stands for not much more than 1 apurture 120d. I find their enough for most of my corporate video shots and very transportable.
