Applying Neatvideo in Premiere and then sending to keylight in AE?
Hello there!
I have a lot of clips I need to key in AE with Keylight, but I’ve realized even 500 ISO on a 5D mk2 was noisy enough to make the details in my talent’s thin blonde hair really noisy after the key. I tried everything (several hours of looking through posts on this forum) but cleaning it up with Neatvideo was the only thing that proved acceptable. Problem is, I can only get my Neatvideo to work in Premiere and Keylight is only in AE. But when I apply Neatvideo in Premiere and then send the clip to be keyed in AE via Dynamic Link, my Neatvideo work is removed. My plan was:
Neatvideo in Premiere > Send to AE to key > Come back in Premiere and render to DNxHD for editing/compositing after, since I’m gonna use a lot of these keyed clips simultaneously, and therefore wanting to free up some resources.
Any idea how to do this? Or would you simply suggest me to Neatvideo first, then render, then bring in AE, key, then render again? I just have like 50 clips, so I would like to save time where I can! And btw, when I’m going between programs with the same clips, the way to go is DNxHD to avoid any degrading of the image, right? I’m on Windows btw.
Thanks in advance
