applying lightning effect removes footage?
I have an animation I created in C4D and have imported it into AE with an alpha channel. I now want to apply the horizontal lightning effect in AE to it. When i do this, the lightning appears and the footage below disappears.
What is it that i am doing wrong?

Are you using Advanced Lightning? If so click the little “Composite On Original” box at the bottom of the plugin parameters.
