  • Applying FRAMFLEX and LUT source settings to clips already in a SEQ

I’m running the latest AVID Media Composer software, 2018.5. We’re using Sony, SLOG 3 LUTS and FRAMEFLEX adjustments on AMA linked clips. The FRAMEFLEX adjustment is need to make sure camera material, shot FULL CINEMA 4K, looks correct in a 16:9, UHD project (Pillarbox/Letterbox).

Sometimes, when bouncing the project or a BIN between editors, we find that the LUT and/or FRAMEFLEX setting didn’t get applied to the clip on the timeline. When this occurs, I have to MATCHFRAME every single shot, and REPLACE the clip in the SEQ with the SAME clip from the source monitor with the LUT/FRAMEFLEX set properly. This is of course, a royal pain in the butt.

Is there a way to relink or replace AMA clips already in a SEQ to the SOURCE clips with the LUT/FRAMEFLEX settings in one felt swoop, rather then doing it clip by clip?

    Many thanks!
