  • applying effect to a single object in the imported SWF

    Hi

I am working with Flash and After Effects. I’ve made a character in Flash (consisting of several nested bodyparts) who is holding a bow and I would love to apply some effects to that bow. If I import the SWF animation of the character firing the bow and apply some effects to the SWF, all the objects within the SWF will take the effect too, but how do I keep my Flash animation together and force AE to apply only an effect to a single object from that particular SWF? Is that even possible?

You could hide all the other parts and just render out the bow and then render out the other parts minus the bow and in AE place the bow under the other parts and voila! Happy affecting.
